Songs in Movies

I'm not sure if it's just me or not, but has anyone else ever noticed how songs are generally always sped up a little bit in movies? For instance, i'm watching "Pixels" at the moment and "Surrender" by Cheap Trick was sped up to a higher pitch. It's something that I have noticed in most movies I have watched. I could understand if the song was sped up to better suit the scenes in the film, but the majority of songs are always sped up and they don't necessarily need to be. Has anyone else ever noticed this?
