If you had to pick your 5 favourite years for all aspects of pop culture (Music, Movies, TV & Gaming), what would they be?
These would be mine:
1. 2003- Imo, this would be my favourite year overall for pop culutre. I really like the songs and movies that were popular at the time and also a lot of good shows were having their final season or just starting around this time.
2. 2001-Same as 2003 except maybe with even better movies, on top of that this might also be my favourite year for gaming.
3. 2002- Same as the years above except the movies from this years weren't quite as good.
4. 1984- Imo, a lot of really good music came out of this era (I would have picked 1983 tbh but 1984 had much better movies)
5. 2010- The best year for music AND movies this decade.

Nice idea for a thread! 1. 1994. An absolutely great year for pop culture! Not only was music diverse and alternative-rock was at it's creative peak, it also saw the releases of movies such as Forrest Gump, Lion King and The Shawshank Redemption. In addition to this, television shows such as Seinfeld, Beavis & Butthead and The Simpsons (Season 5 is the best season, IMO) were also on the air at the time. 2. 1997Another really great year for pop culture. While the earliest signs of Millennial culture emerged around this time, it was still generally a really good year for music. Gaming was also quite good that year. I also like the fact that there were several Mid '90s influences around at the time. 3. 2003Unlike the other years on this list, 2003 is a year I can actually vividly remember and have nostalgia for. It may not have been a great year for pop culture overall, however there are a lot of aspects of pop culture which I am quite fond of. For instance, Elf, one of my favourite childhood movies, was released at the end of the year. It was also a fairly decent year for television, as Two and a Half Men premiered that year and Malcolm in the Middle was still on the air. Music was quite "hit and miss", however there are a decent amount of songs that I like from the year and Meteora (by Linkin Park) was released in March 2003, which was my favourite childhood album. Gaming was also quite good as well. I liked Driver 3, Hulk (based on the 2003 movie) and Hit & Run. 4. 19991999 is pretty underrated in terms of pop culture, IMO. Many people simply dismiss it as being a year full of teen-pop and nu-metal. Yet, there was so much more to pop culture that year, In a general sense, music was quite decent. It was also a fairly good year for movies as well, with notable releases such as The Green Mile, The Sixth Sense, The Matrix, Toy Story 2 and Stuart Little. 5. 20012001 is actually my favourite year for music in the 2000s. Songs I like from that year include "Hanging By A Moment", "Smooth Criminal", "Chop Seuy!" ( Toxicity is a great album), "One Step Closer", "Wherever You Will Go", "Take Me Away" and "In Too Deep". A lot of my favourite childhood movies were also released in 2001, such as Shrek, Monsters Inc and Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius. Admittedly, the television and gaming from the time don't really appeal to me.
