I'm sure that Harry Styles would be a very popular choice of James Bond amongst the female demographic (and also some males, to be fair)!
Although personally I've never really cared much for those movies.

Although personally I've never really cared much for those movies. I agree, especially among the younger demographic who liked One Direction.  I've never really cared about the James Bond franchise either. I don't think I've ever actually watched a James Bond film in full.

I have trouble imagining a member of 1D portraying James Bond, especially the one who conveyed himself as frail and wistful on his debut solo album. Then again, surprise blockbuster roles are not a new thing in the least, and especially considering how much the film industry continues to evolve in its portrayal of its leads, I'd say still give him a chance.

Yep, I agree. Another thing to consider, is that Harry Styles will be 28 years old when he gets the chance to portray James Bond. By that point, his career may have evolved in such a way, that One Direction will no longer be associated with him and his public image. In a way, it wouldn't worry me if he does get the role. Out of all the former 1D members, he is the only one who shows a lot of promise with his solo career. He earned my respect after releasing his debut solo album.

Yup. The next James Bond will certainly be covering all basis then. He/she will be a woman, of many different races, transgender et cetera.

It really makes you wonder if these "calls" are genuine or if they are just a form of media propaganda. I'm going to say the latter. You never hear of people making these type of suggestions when out in public or just in general conversations off social media. I doubt very many people would actually want James Bond to be a different race or gender.

If they changed what we know to be “James Bond” after the many, many decades they should just end the long-running franchise. Surely people aren’t serious about the ludicrous ideas of him having a change of sex as “Jane Bond” (umm he’s known as womaniser and all!) or of being a different race. It just wouldn’t work. All this so it’s viewed as “modern and keeping with the times”? Please!

Harry Styles is the only member of One Direction I actually like as he is a supporter of animal rights.
