First half (pre-operational stage): Ages 2 to 7
Second half (concrete operational stage): Ages 7 to 12
What do you think of this?

Eh, to me, anything before age 3 is too early to qualify as “childhood”

2 is very young, although that was when I started forming my first memories so it could possibly count. It's also not like your stuck in that baby stage anymore when your 0-1 years old.

I'm not sure if I would really consider age 2 as childhood. While it's true that people begin to form their first memories at that age, age 2 is simply too young to truly comprehend what is going on around you. I'm not even entirely convinced that age 3 is childhood, to be honest. Before I started to join internet forums, I always considered age 4 to be the start of my childhood, because it's the first age I can vividly remember.
This is just my personal opinion, but I don't think childhood can be divided up into two "operational stages". People develop at different rates and I just don't think it's possible to group everyone under two stages.

Well for me: Early childhood (age 3~4) Core childhood (age 5~10) Late childhood/Preteen (age 11~12)
But the weirdest thing is my memory in 2000~2001 maybe clearer than my early childhood(2002~2003) LOL

Another thing that I can remember was that they picked 7 as the peak of your childhood instead of 8. Starting in around 2015, it became more like this: A 1990's kid is someone who: *Someone who graduated high school in the 2000's *Someone who spent most of his/her K-5's in the 90's (nearly synonymous to being 8 sometime in the 90's) *Someone who was able to go to Pre-K in the first half of the 90's And I think that I can remember saying that a 2000's kid was 1992-2001 back in 2013.

1993-2001 are 2000s kids and 92 and 02 are kinda both.
Both 7 & 8 are numerically the peak of your childhood.

Personally, I feel like 3-11 is childhood IMO, with 3-4 being early, 5-9 being mid, and 10-11 being late. From my personal experience, age 12 really didn't feel like childhood despite it not ending in "teen" because that was my first full year in middle school, which I was still in for ages 13 and 14. I'd even go as far to say age 12 has more in common with early teens than childhood, to be honest. Despite being 12 in 2014, I consider 2014 to be more of my early teens (or preteens) rather than childhood.

I think childhood is the prime of your innocence. When you're just a kid with not much life experience, and too young to truly understand things going on around you. I determine my childhood as 4-10 years old.

Age 10 can be tricky sometimes since that is the average age people start paying more attention to the pop culture. Also, I just want to say don't listen to others who say you're trying to fit in just because you have your own definition of childhood. You did nothing wrong, and they don't have any evidence to prove that you are especially when they don't even know your birth year. You keep on doing you and keep up with the posts. I enjoy reading them.
