Let me guess, you met him on YouTube commments? Yep. When I first met him, he went by the pseudonym "BanjoAndConkerDDR". What was your YouTube channel name?

At age 12, you're firmly in puberty. I'm not sure if I entirely agree with that, to be honest. People develop at different rates and I don't think it's too uncommon for kids to not be firmly in puberty until ages 13/14.

The average age for boys is 11. The argument I was making is ending childhood on the day before one's 13th birthday is stupid. Even if you hit puberty late, you're still going to grow up with your peers and your middle school experience will be different from your elementary school experience, even if you haven't hit puberty yet or it later than your friends. Things start to change in 6th grade. I was on my winter break during 7th grade when I turned 13, I was literally in the dead center of middle school (grades 6-8.) I don't understand how 7th grade is connected to childhood but 8th grade isn't.

Captain97 came up with a new definition of core childhood, based on elementary school years. Also, he came up with core childhood being ages 6-10 because those are the full years of being in elementary school, with ages 5 & 11 being transitional. personalitycafe.com/generation-z-forum/1099689-what-decade-kid-ypu-2.html (it's near the bottom of the page.) For me, my core childhood would be August 2007 to May 2013, with 2008-2012 being the full years. Actually, I remember him saying this in 2013: "My childhood went from December 14, 2000 to December 13, 2008" (he was born on December 14, 1997). It's funny because 2008 was only five years ago and wasn't even considered an old year at the time. I'm pretty sure 2008 nostalgia didn't exist in 2013.

Tbh, the older you get the broader the definition of a kid gets At this point I consider anything before the age of 15 as super young ^^
