It's the year 2028. You realize that pop culture is drastically different from 2018. What do you think will change in 10 years? As for me, I think apps like Snapchat and Instagram will be completely obsolete by then, much like how Myspace now is completely dead. As for music, I think trap rap will be completely dead as well. And it most likely won't age well. Nostalgia for the late 2000's / early 2010's will be a lot more common. When you turn on the throwback station, you'll probably be hearing songs like "Call Me Maybe" or even songs from 2017 like "Despacito", self-driving cars will be everywhere, today's iPhones will look more like iStones due to how ancient they'll look, and I have a feeling that 2010's fashion will age very, very bad.

* Pay/Cable-TV services will either be on the brink of collapsing or will no longer exist. Subscription rates for Pay-TV are already on the decline. Streaming will be the main way for consuming entertainment.
* It won't be unusual to go and see a hologram of a deceased music star perform live in concert.
* There will probably be another movement in a form similar to Snap and Trap music.

Singer/songwriter acts might emerge if people get sick of all the autotuned music and lack of talent. YouTube stars will fade into obscurity and a new batch of apps will replace current social media. Fashion may become more plain and simple, while those who have more of a "daring" appearance with brightly colored hair won't be seen as rebellious by many people. Same with tattoos and piercings.

Flatscreen TV's would be way different from now and rap/Hip Hop would be way different compared to todays rap/Hip Hop. I'll be 24 in 2028 being nostalgic for the early 2010s and maybe have nostalgia for 2018.

When you compare the music from 2008 vs. now, there is obviously a huge difference. Let's be honest, nobody is going to listen to a hip-hop song from 2008 and think "This sounds so late 2010's." maybe with the exception of Slim95.

Lol, I completely forgot about 30 Seconds to Mars
2008 was kind of awkward musically with R&B dominance being on its last legs and the sound that will define the next few years coming to its own
Interesting

I never think that far ahead as I have enough problems dealing with the present. The music will probably still be rubbish though!

It's almost impossible to predict what the sound of 2028 will be like!
