"Profile" Drop-down menu?

I'm thinking about turning the "Profile" button on the navigation bar into a drop-down menu. Clicking the "Profile" button will still take you to your member profile, as it currently does, but there would also be a drop-down menu, which would have buttons that would directly link you to other parts of your member profile. For instance, the drop-down menu could look like this:

Profile - Main button in navigation bar

* Notifications - A button that would directly link you to the notifications tab in your member profile.
* Edit Avatar - Directly links you to the Avatar tab in the profile settings.
* Edit Settings - Allows you to directly go to the "settings" tab.

What are your thoughts on it?
