I thought this might be a good topic of discussion. When do you think streaming services started to became popular in your country?
Here in Australia, streaming services didn't truly start to become popular until 2012, when our commercial FTA networks started to launch their own streaming services (i.e "9Jump-in"). Streaming services weren't even a "thing" during the Late 2000s. I would argue that 2017 was the first year where streaming services were either just as popular and/or significant as the FTA channels. That's just my opinion.

2012/2013 for Netflix in Canada. I think it launched in 2011 but it took a year or two to get popular. My family got it in early 2013.
2015 for music streaming. I got Google Play Music in the summer of 2014, which was the first to launch in Canada, but I was a VERY early adopter. I don't think it truly took off until Spotify came in 2015. We did have stuff like Pandora though, which was popular in the early 2010s.

I don't think Netflix was even around until 2015 over here, but it seemed that by the summer of 2016/7 most people were already using it.
