Good news everyone! The first heatwave of the winter is around the corner. The hot air from the Caribbean and the U.S. White House will blow north into Canada on Monday to send temperatures soaring to a scorching 2C! Let's hope the ice melts before I get to the beach.

You can have your -40c. I don’t mind coolish weather, but that’s freakin’ freezing!  ❄️ Where I am it’s now expected to reach around 34c, after being revised up from 33c late yesterday afternoon. Meanwhile, for much of South Australia and Victoria regions tomorrow they are expecting tops of well over 40c! And don’t feel left out NSW, your turn is on Sunday with near 40c for the City and mid-40s out West.  🔥 I don't want it! I didn't ask for this  I didn't know it could get into the mid-40s in Australia. You should send some of that heat over here.  I took out the garbage in the morning in my short sleeve shirt at -38C. Brave or stupid? It was only for a minute though. Brave. I wouldn't want to go outside and experience -38C. 2C would feel like a heatwave! At least it will be a reprieve from the temperatures you have been experiencing.

Haha, definitely brave! At least, I wouldn’t dare do it. At at my location it actually got slightly warmer to 36c early yesterday afternoon. Much cooler now though at 19c thankfully!

Haha! Even with the fan going and all?! He will be sure hoping today’s forecast mid-30s heat either 1) doesn’t eventuate or 2) that it’s over rather quickly! Poor fella. My dog is the same as this.

Haha! Even with the fan going and all?! He will be sure hoping today’s forecast mid-30s heat either 1) doesn’t eventuate or 2) that it’s over rather quickly! Poor fella. My dog is the same as this. My fan doesn’t really help with the heat, it makes my room feel like a sauna. I really hope the southerly comes around lunchtime and cools down quickly. Whenever the aircon comes on, my cat (Tom) would dart into the room and sit in front of it for relief.

My fan doesn’t really help with the heat, it makes my room feel like a sauna. I really hope the southerly comes around lunchtime and cools down quickly. Whenever the aircon comes on my cat (Tom) would dart into the room and sit in front of it for relief. Yeah, I suppose. It’s basically just blowing the stale inside heat around isn’t it? You’re better off opening a window or to crank up the aircon. Haha, Tom is such a smart cat!

It's already 35C at my location and it's only 8:49am!  That's a bit extreme! Luckily where I am is only 25C.

It's already 35C at my location and it's only 8:49am! Did around your area reach the 40s in the end @zampakid? I know most places reached well over 40c (out West it was something ridiculous like 46-47c in some areas! 🔥

I know most places reached well over 40c (out West it was something ridiculous like 46-47c in some areas! 🔥 It reached 40.5C at around 10am, then it went down to 36 at midday until a 'cool' change came at 5pm. Penrith broke a new record with 47.3C.

Down the coast, it got to a top of about 35C here and there's a thunderstorm at the moment!
