That time of year when light sleepers are awaken by the pounding sound of snow falling off the roof.  Not as bad as icequakes though, which to me sounds like a tree falling on my roof

30th October High: 12°C / Low: 7°C. Clear/sunny. Warmth!! But the highlight of my day was the clear skies. When I was walking to the gym in the morning (nighttime) there were so many stars in the sky! Just beautiful.

I do think it got up to 18c last November though, so there is some hope TOO HOT

I want just ONE more 20c+ sunny day this year. Fat chance! I do think it got up to 18c last November though, so there is some hope  It's not looking good, unfortunately.  Hopefully next Tuesday will be warmer than predicted and get close to 20C!

Hopefully next Tuesday will be warmer than predicted and get close to 20C! The 18c day last year shockingly came towards the end of November, so there is some hope. Last autumn in general was really warm though. Most of October was 20c+ and most of November was 10c+, unlike this year when the frost came all of a sudden and we haven't escaped the freezing nights since. The catch was the autumn started really early last year (late August). I prefer the long summer 31st October High: 11°C / Low: 4°C. Rain in the morning and early afternoon. Overcast later. Only two trick or treaters and no snow! Best Halloween ever

1st November High: 7°C / Low: 5°C. Intermittent rain. Awful day today. It was so dark, it barely felt like it was daytime. It's the first "unofficial" day of winter. Most the trees have lost their leaves and snow and freezing temperatures are regular. The days are short and gloomy, people forget what the sun looks like. Now is about the time newcomers to Canada start complaining about "winter". No one has the heart to tell them real winter doesn't start until it drops below -20°C (usually in late December). Oh my sweet summer children... Brace yourselves, winter is coming
