Christmas is my favourite time of the year. If anything, I'd boycott Halloween it's not really celebrated here. (yet!). Halloween is more of an American thing. BTW, The same Americanisation is happening in Britain too. I prefer Christmas over Halloween.
Same with Black Friday (which is a relatively new phenomenom in Britain), but yeah Christmas over Halloween any day.

Christmas is better and that's a fact. Lock this thread. Yes, sir! It's difficult to say. I hate the day of Halloween itself, because it's usually teenagers who are old enough to work who are knocking on my door, and I have to sit in front of the door waiting for them, when there are a million other things I'd rather be doing.
No you don’t. Just close the curtains, turn the lights off and make out no-one is at home. They will soon leave when they figure the house is empty. That’s what I, SharksFan99 and @zampakid do every year. To answer the topic, it’s quite a no-brainer - Christmas. I have absolutely no interest in Halloween and I hate the thought that the occasion has taken off and gained in popularity in this country over the last number of years. Horribly so, it’s just another step in the direction of Australia becoming more Americanised. 😣

There's no way I would ever change my plans and actually wait for people to knock on my front door on Halloween. I'd be waiting an awfully long time if I ever were to do that (not that I would anyway), especially seeing as though it has been over two years since we last had a door knocker on Halloween! I agree, I also don't like the fact that Australia is becoming more Americanised. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if we started to celebrate Thanksgiving in another 10 years or so.

Halloween. Its generally more fun and mysterious. Christmas is the REAL holiday for kids because of its aesthetic by its self. People only really like Christmas, insert gift here. Bruh. One Halloween party<rest of the year.

Christmas, but honestly for me, Christmas is no longer near as exciting as it was when I was a kid. It has nothing to do with my birthday being close either, I don't get excited for that really anymore either. I'm at the age where I'm content with pretty much everything material that I own, and don't want to waste any space. I actually prefer both Thanksgiving and New Years to either of them. I'd be fine with skipping Christmas altogether this year, especially if it spares me from Christmas music as well.

Maybe it's because I'm not American but I just don't get why Halloween is such a big deal in America.

The Halloween hate makes it more classic. I feel like people overrate Christmas because they just like the aesthetic of Christmas. Family time, bruh? You can have family time any other day. Meal feast? Literally Thanksgiving. Halloween is phenomenon for everyone. Basically every fictional character is real, scary marathons and addictive atmosphere. If you enjoy the aesthetic of Christmas, just be honest. Christmas is ultimately great for when your a kid.

Right because who said it was impossible to have fun at school, work, etc on Halloween? Its bandwagon appeal. There is literally nothing to watch on Christmas if it isn't the Grinch or Friday After next. I guarantee you'll outgrow Christmas in 10 years or the like.

Christmas is better. The music, the lights, the decorations, and everything else makes it a beautiful time of year. It’s a time for us all to forget about all of our problems and enjoy the season with our families. And of course, unlike Halloween, you get a nice long break from school/college. I really like Halloween and it’s fun but Christmas is just really peaceful.

Halloween is not phenomenon for me, Kev. It commemorates nothing either religious or cultural.
