CG's take on Trap was suprising (but it makes sense considering the concept behind the song). I mostly knew him for his quite quirky Nu-Soul slightly Hip Hop-flavored like on his last album Awaken, My Love!
Really good song, but the clip outshines it definitely even more

When I was listening to the radio earlier today, the radio announcer on the station I was listening to stated that "Psycho" by Post Malone is a "good, catchy song". I wish she was joking...

"I Like Me Better" has jumped up quite a number of places on the Billboard Hot 100. It was at #72 on the chart last week and it has now risen to #61. Who knows, it's possible that it may even become a minor hit in the US.

5 Seconds of Summer have a new single, called "Youngblood". It has been at the top of the Australian iTunes Chart for over a week now and they're set to perform it live on The Voice this Sunday. As you can hear, 5SOS have mostly abandoned their pop-punk roots in favour of a more "pop" sound.

Apologies for posting in this thread for the fourth consecutive time, but I heard this song on the radio for the first time a few days ago and I've been wanting to go into detail about it. This would have to be one of the most meaningful songs released within the past few months (in the mainstream, that is) and I can't believe it hasn't charted anywhere else in the world, not even in her native US.
It's about the barriers the LGBT community have faced over the past several decades and her own queerness. King Princess must only be an indie/underground artist, because her official Facebook page has just over 4,000 Facebook likes. "1950" is actually her debut single. Like I mentioned, Australia is the only country in the world where the song has charted. It's currently at #26 on the ARIA Chart.

Ugh the The Top 40 is just a mess right now....Its as if people in 2018 are purposely streaming bad songs as much as possible or something like any bad song released goes straight to the top 10.

I tend to agree. The Billboard Hot 100, in particular, is absolutely awful at the moment. It seems like Americans enjoy listening to the same songs over and over again, because God's Plan is still in the Top-5. "Meant To Be" and "The Middle" were hits in Australia and New Zealand a few months ago now!

I'm so sick of hearing "Better Now" by Post Malone. I really don't understand why it's so popular at the moment, because it's not that great of a song. It's only marginally better than "Rockstar" and "Psycho", but that's not saying much. The Top-40 radio stations in my local area play the song several times a day. It actually came on as I was driving home this afternoon and the radio announcer on the station I was listening to expressed how much she loves the song, as well as how "catchy" it is. How is it catchy?

5SOS have now reached #1 on the NZ Top 40 for the second time with their song "Youngblood", since their other hit from 2014. The song isn't great but at least its someone different from Drake and Post Malone who have almost exclusively held the #1 spot since Late 2017. I'm so sick of hearing "Better Now" by Post Malone. I've never been a fan of 5SOS, but I was kind of hoping that they would have stuck with their pop-punk sound for their latest album, if only to make the Top-40 charts slightly more diverse. "Youngblood" has been at the top of the charts for four weeks here.

"Youngblood" debuted at #96 on the Billboard Hot 100 last week, having since risen up to #79 on the chart. Who knows, it may even reach the Top-50 in a few weeks time!

This song has just debuted at #11 on the Australian iTunes Chart. I'm amazed that The Amity Affliction have been so successful. They formed back in 2003, but they only started to achieve mainstream success in the Early 2010s. Incredibly, three of their albums have peaked at #1 on the ARIA Album Chart and three singles even made it onto the ARIA Top-50. This managed to peak at #19 back in 2015!

This is absolutely bizarre. It was only released a couple of weeks ago. "Psycho" is the third-single released by Australian indie-pop artist, Amy Shark, but the song features the vocals of Blink-182 singer, Mark Hoppus. Too bad he completely ruins the song.

Looks like since his death, XXXTentacion has a few songs on the billboard top 100 right now. Sorry for my disrespect but I don’t like any of it.
