Next minute, someone comes along and steals the speakers. Lol! Thats if they can find it. The guy who made the 'sculpture' said its in a undisclosed location literally in the middle of the Namib Desert.

That's true, although I wouldn't put it passed someone to actually go to the effort of trying to find it!

Dean Lewis has just released a new song, titled "7 Minutes". IMO, it's better than "Be Alright", although it's still pretty generic in the scheme of things.
In other music news, 5SOS also released a new song a few days ago.

This song has just topped the iTunes Chart here in Australia. It debuted at #93 on the ARIA Chart this week, but with it performing so well on the streaming services now, it could even crack the Top-50 next week. Would be interesting if it did, since it's an alternative-rock song. I can't say that i'm too fussed on it though, to be honest.

Sound like something the UK would love. Finally a good "Look What You Made Me Do" song Glad to see Normani getting some momentum! She's one of my favorite surprises of last year. Make this an international hit please

Well you're not wrong, as it's currently at #3 on the UK Singles Chart. It's at #10 down here.

It just topped the Triple J Hottest 100 so that's probably the reason why it's gained in popularity. I have no idea how though, it's quite bland.

Although, I think "Confidence" was starting to rise in popularity towards the end of last year, because the single was certified gold by ARIA and the album that it was released on peaked at #15. Topping the Triple J Hottest 100 has just cemented it's popularity.

Well you're not wrong, as it's currently at #3 on the UK Singles Chart. See, didn't even had to check I know Pop in the late-2010s is very sad and depressed, but this is taking it a little too far, wouldn't you think ?

I know Pop in the late-2010s is very sad and depressed, but this is taking it a little too far, wouldn't you think ? Maybe it is taking it a little too far, but it doesn't have any shock value IMO. The song is literally just mumbling over a repetitive backing track. It's not something that is going to get people talking about how dark it is.

Well the lyrics are about death and suicide so that is definitely not a very fun theme to be ignored . The production has more going on than that. There's quite a handful of horror sound effects and metallic clanging and screeching. It seems pretty inspired by the Industrial music scene which is interesting. Billie Eilish kind of takes from Lorde's brand of indifference when it comes to vocals too.

Idk if anyone has noticed, but Ariana Grande is everywhere right now and all her songs are shit no offence. Still dont know why anyone would like "7 Rings". The stuff she released last year was a much higher quality imo, for example songs like "No Tears Left To Cry" and "Breathin". Not sure why she would so suddenly go and record a follow up album that was so much worse.

Not sure why she would so suddenly go and record a follow up album that was so much worse. Her "Thank U, Next" album is more consistent than "Sweetener" was, but I do agree it doesn't have the latter's stunning highlights like "No Tears Left to Cry" or "Breathin'". It does still have its gems though, like "Bad Idea" I really like. She just decided to waste the coveted single slots on forgettable mediocrity like "Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored" for some reason. Anyway I hear this song quite very often played and it's honestly one of the worst songs of the year so far along with that awful Cardi B and Bruno Mars duet. Far too overproduced (which is pretty much Lauv's shtick, but it just doesn't work with his brand of "relatable"-Chill Pop), tired subject no pun intended (seriously? Go see NeYo's school of actual great writing on "So Sick" first please) and unneeded and graceless repetitive chorus.
