Looks like since his death, XXXTentacion has a few songs on the billboard top 100 right now. Sorry for my disrespect but I don’t like any of it. Neither do I. I know this is going to sound insensitive, but to be honest, his death doesn't concern me at all. I don't care for people who commit crimes and physically abuse others.

This has been receiving a lot of airplay over here recently and it's actually a little catchy. While its been a moderate success in a few countries, its only reached the Top 20 in NZ, whereas it hasn't even made the Billboard Hot 100.

This is actually the first time I have listened to "Playinwitme", to be honest. I'm not really a huge fan of it, although I will admit that it's one of the better hip-hop songs on the charts at the moment. I'm really surprised to hear that it hasn't even made it onto the Billboard Hot 100! I would have expected it to be within the Top-40 over there. It has charted here in Australia as well, but it has been a complete flop. It only debuted at #38 on the ARIA Chart and now it has dropped all the way down to #71! I haven't even heard it on the radio yet!

Ariana Grande's new single "God is a Woman" just debuted at #6 on the NZ Top 40.
I quite like Twenty One Pilots' new song:

I'm looking at the Billboard, UK, ARIA and NZ Top-40 Charts at the moment and simply put, they are really, really depressing. I can't believe music has deteriorated to the state that it is in. It's not the record labels who are entirely at fault for it though; the public can equally be blamed for choosing to consume such dreadful rubbish. The Early 2010s are even starting to seem like a noticeably better era for music and I never thought I would be saying that.

"Jumpsuit" is currently at #50 on the Billboard Hot 100. That's quite an impressive peak for an alternative-rock song.

This is Clout Cobain by Denzel Curry, I've been loving this track. I've been aware of Denzel Curry for a couple of years, but was never really interested until now. I've been checking out more of his music, he's a pretty great artist imo.
This song has a lot of meaning to it as well, it's pretty interesting. He's talking about the downside to fame as well as his paranoia, how people are wanting him to do a lot in order to maintain or gain more fame. When he says "I just wanna feel myself, you want me to kill myself", I think he's saying he wants to be his own artist just expressing himself while others are wanting him to do things that go against his artistry, essentially killing himself as an artist. I could be wrong though, there could be a double meaning to that line since he has Kurt Cobain references in the song.
He released his album in three parts over the course of three days, the full official release was yesterday.

longaotian Just out of curiosity, have you listened to this song yet? It has just debuted at #32 on the NZ Top-40. To be honest, I personally think it's a pretty average song. His accent really annoys me and so do the cringeworthy lyrics; "I know you love her but it's over mate".

It's also getting very regular airplay on our radio stations at the moment. To be honest, it wouldn't surprise me if it reaches the NZ Top-10 in a couple of weeks.

I'm watching The Block at the moment ( ) and "Filthy" happened to be played as a background track on the show. I can't believe the song has essentially faded into obscurity already. When it was released back in January, I thought it would have become one of the biggest hits of 2018. I haven't heard it played on Top-40 radio since the days immediately after it's release.

So believe it or not, I’ve decided I actually quite like Post Malone’s “Better Now”. Not only is the composition of actual intrigue, but unlike the watery, indulgent mess “Rockstar”, the lyrics are actually easy to relate to even if you’re not a fast-living, drug-addict player. I also think the deep, ghostly, murky production delivers the song’s thesis quite effectively, and Post Malone actually sounds convincing on the piece as opposed to being half asleep. I could appreciate “I Fall Apart”, but “Better Now” is his first song that I would genuinely listen to regularly.
Also, “Flames” by David Guetta feat. Sia is a serious contender for my favourite song of the year.

It would definitely have to be one of Post Malone's best releases, but i'm not a fan of it personally.
