I was listening to "Edge of Glory" just a few minutes ago and it made me realise that the song was released seven years ago! That's really hard to believe. It feels like it only came out a year or two ago!

I'm VERY nostalgic fro 2010-2012, but less nostalgic for 2013. I think that it has to do with the fact that I hit puberty sometime around late 2012.
I remember watching Pewdiepie play Amnesia and other horror games all the time and watching Yogscast's "Shadow Of Israphel" Minecraft series with my brother.
It's amazing how old and dated the early 2010s have already become. Barely anything from then is relevant now and they just seem like a world away.

I will NOT speak for the late 2010s. They are awful and have nothing of nostalgia to give. They are horrible. But the early 10s were a breath of fresh air. They were something special. Culturally it felt more like a continuation of the late 2000s, until i'd say 2012 or 2013. The years 2010-2012 were so different from 2013-2019. I was so happy back then. I got an Ipod for my 10th birthday in 2012. I had friends named Justin, Matthew, Nathan, Megan, and Austin in elementary school. My favorite song was I Gotta Feeling, and my favorite cartoon was Regular Show, although Spongebob was a close second. I remember my birthdays from 2006-2012, except for one in between those years. It was a good time to be alive. If it wasn't for the mid-late 2010s being so bad, i'd possibly like the 2010s the most of all of the decades, including the 2000s which I was alive for. I will see in 2027 of 2028 that the 2010s will have nostalgia kick in, and 2010s kids will post "only 10s kids remember" things. Gaming was still good, YouTube gaming channels had variety (unlike today, where they have no variety and post consistent Fortnite videos for 5-12 year olds of today), CN was still watchable and great to watch, music was still tolerable, and my depression was, at best, low. In 2011, I had a crush on a character in Kirby Right Back at Ya, named Tiff. I thought she was cute and wanted to be her boyfriend. How cute. My 9 year old self. It's safe to say the early 10s were amazing. Almost as good as the late 2000s, but they were a bit better (2007-2009). What do you think about the early 10s?

Hmmm, the late 2000s were the peak of my childhood yet its my least favourite era since the turn of the century. Early 2010s were fun though.

I think I might have posted something like this already, but this is a song that I like from 2010. I've liked it since it was released, but I only found out the name of it a few days ago. Makes me pretty nostalgic for 2010. Neon Trees is one of my early 2010s favourites! I replace their song 1983 with "1993" and it becomes an anthem  Also the #aesthetic in their Everybody Talks MV is perfection.

I haven't listened to "1983" before, tbh. I might have to check it out. Actually, that could even be a good idea for the 50 Albums challenge; listen to one of Neon Trees' albums.  It's funny that you mention "Everybody Talks", because I watched the music video of it only a couple of days ago! I can't remember what it was like off the top of my head though. To be honest, I've never really been much of a fan of that song. It's okay, but I definitely prefer "Animals" over it.

Another depressing reminder that 2010 will be a decade old by the end of this year. Yeah, it's hard to believe isn't it. To be honest though, I can't say that I really have a lot of nostalgia for 2010 itself or the Early 2010s in general. I mean, there are some songs (e.g "Animals") which bring back memories for me, but i'm not nostalgia for them in the same way that I am for the Mid-Late 2000s.
