"Pon de replay" by Rihanna just came on the radio, and it was honestly so nostalgic for me! I honestly heard that song so much back in 2005/6, it was on the 'Now 19' CD that we owned and me and my sister would always play it on the CD player haha. It just reminded me that I defintly prefer Rihannas earlier songs than her recnt songs, like "Work" for example  .

I probably do, but it doesn't ring any bells.  But I agree, Rhianna's earlier songs are a lot better than her most recent releases. "Work" is just torture to the ears.

Dude, I know that song! I remember hearing it back in like 2006. I like both her new and older music tbh.

I listened to this song in the first time in years and I couldn't even listen to a minute of it, because of how awful it is. As someone who was five when that song was released, I never liked it when it came out, and my opinion still hasn't changed. :D

As someone who was five when that song was released, I never liked it when it came out, and my opinion still hasn't changed.  Haha. My opinion of it hasn't changed either. It was absolutely massive when it first came out.

You know, I was just thinking about her music last night, and I noticed that her pre-2010 work is different from her post-2010 songs. I listened to some of Rhianna's earlier songs some time ago, and they were urbaner than the ones after 2010. Compare SOS to FourFiveSeconds. I know this is an old post now, but I agree. To add on from that, her earlier work was generally more experimental as well. For instance, "Shut Up and Drive" is a new wave song, while "Don't Stop the Music" is a dance-pop song.

It's funny how time can change your perception of things. I listened to "Lips Of An Angel" for the first time in years and in retrospect, I actually don't think it's that bad of a song. Back in 2007, however, I wouldn't have liked it at all.

I'm listening to this album-track off Out of Ashes at the moment, the only album ever produced by Chester Bennington's side project, Dead By Sunrise. I actually think this song is on par with the best songs Linkin Park ever released and I say that as someone who has been a fan of Linkin Park's music since Meteora was released.
