if you wanted to post caps of your own collection, you would do it yourself! I sometimes used to but these days I honestly don't have the effort to post them on there haha. I often post caps on twitter but for now my main priority is to upload some videos because I've been lazy recently!  I don't understand the need to have constant caps of Larry Emdur there as well. So true The contribitions from Zampakid and AussieTV are always good though I agree, they're great!

Anyone else notice screenshots from one of my videos being posted on media spy yesterday? It kind of annoys me considering my YT name is in the corner of the pics and stands out... Yeah, I've noticed that as well... It really bothers me when they 'hijack' the vault threads with low-res screencaps from YouTube videos without any credit given. Sometimes as soon as I post on the Vault it's like it's their cue to post immediately after. I felt like saying something but I know l'll probably be told off by some members for being petty about it. On my Nine On-Air Presentation 1999-2000 thread, the Ident was posted twice by BigVic and Super_SC even though it's on slide 1 when I opened the thread.

I never check out the Vault threads on Media Spy, tbh. It's got nothing to do with the quality of the captures themselves, caps just aren't something that particularly interest me. I prefer watching archived video and audio recordings. By the way, if any of you are interested in posting caps (but don't want to do it on Media Spy), we actually have a media vault sub-board here on Popedia: popedia.boards.net/board/7/media-vault

Sometimes as soon as I post on the Vault it's like it's their cue to post immediately after. I noticed that too. And you can tell yours get more likes than theirs as well, as most know they're caps not from them but from YouTube. I felt like saying something but I know l'll probably be told off by some members for being petty about it. I understand what you mean. If it keeps going, PM them (but you're a respected user so maybe it wouldn't matter if you posted publicly?). I prefer watching archived video and audio recordings. Same. Though I look in the threads sometimes to see if there is something I haven't seen before. Or some teaser caps of Zampakid and AussieTV's upcoming uploads.

I 'watch' quite a few of the vault topics, when there are unread posts I get excited that it will be something I haven't seen before. I then become disappointed when I find that it's some more poor quality caps from YouTube videos! I have contributed to the vault once, with some caps (taken by MYSELF from 7Plus!) of some production closers. I noticed that too. And you can tell yours get more likes than theirs as well, as most know they're caps not from them but from YouTube. I've certainly noticed the difference in the number of likes! Media Spy as a whole irritates me sometimes. I only really visit the site as there are still some good contributors there. However, there are some other contributors there who seem like robots, repeating stuff constantly which is simply obvious.

I feel exactly the same way, it's why I haven't been a regular contributor to Media Spy since Late 2015. It really does irritate me how robotic many of the members on that site are. Not only are their posting styles very rigid and formal, but very few of them inject their personalities into their posts. The community as a whole just frustrates me. Besides yourself and all of us on here who are members on Media Spy, I only really have respect for contributors such as Radiohead, Dxnerd, WatvVideos and nationalnews. I enjoy reading their posts. I'm sure there's a few others who I have missed, but most of the members on there I don't really have a lot of time for.

If screencaps of YouTube videos are going to be posted, the very least you can do is give the original uploader the credit for originally publishing (not to mention digitalising/editing, but that's another story) the content! In contrast to other users, I personally hope there's a fair bit of personality/knowledge with most of my posts here and elsewhere online.

I personally consider your contributions to be of very good quality. They are interesting and relevant to topics are most importantly, not robotic. Your brief absence on Media Spy actually did bring the overall post standard down IMO, it was certainly noticed (by me anyway).

Isn't there tons of knowledge and personality behind zampakid's best buddy Aaron? I'm confused.  As for capping low-res YouTube videos for archiving... why? I don't see any point. You're better off obtaining and using the original source.

Surely they'll run out of other people's YouTube videos soon? It just seems like a never ending supply of mediocre caps. Not for a very long time if their aim is to exhaust every YouTube account containing networks presentations. I just had a quick look at some of them, they look awful. Surprised someone hasn’t commented on them already as they seem to have just screenshot the videos in the YouTube player! You'd make a awesome couple. Aaron wishes that were true, but we all know that this is what it is like in reality: How could you zampa. He would be so devastated! The red dress looks good on you too, lol!
