Not for a very long time if their aim is to exhaust every YouTube account containing networks presentations. I just had a quick look at some of them, they look awful. Surprised someone hasn’t commented on them already as they seem to have just screenshot the videos in the YouTube player! Well it seems like they thought out of the box this time, finding caps from an AFL match uploaded in its entirety! And it's not from the 16th of August 2003 as Super_SC said, its from the 23rd of August!

Maybe he should actually properly contribute and upload something of his own if he’s that interested. Besides, at the very least he should be crediting them to the original uploader. I mean, you can’t missed that ‘anthony78977’ watermark.

I've decided to make a combined "Media Spy"-based thread, where we can all talk about things relating to the site. Until now, there had been posts about the site in several threads on the forum, so I thought it made sense just to combine them all into one thread.

The quality of posting on Media Spy in the past couple of months has really gone downhill I believe. Some of the content being posted is largely pointless or even stupid. There has been a steady decline for a while but it is becoming more prevalent now. There still are some good posters and good posts, but they are becoming few and far between.

Most of the comments are just repetitive stuff I've seen in the past, or common sense stuff (ie. Channel 9 box logo only lasted 2 years because of viewer backlash...). Especially from several users we've spoken about before... But I can't fault the regular contributors to the media vault with their own quality content! @sydneycitytv @zampakid AussieTV

It's kind of a shame really that we don't have more media enthusiasts here on Popedia. I'm sure there's probably a few other members on Media Spy who are fed up with the site and would be open to joining an alternative media-related site (such as our site), but the thing is, most on Media Spy probably aren't aware that other media sites exist. It's like Media Spy is this massive black hole that sucks in every person interested in discussing the media. How do you get the word out about our site when things are the way they are. Also, the site staff on Media Spy wouldn't have a bar of it, which is fair enough.

I'm done with Media Spy. I made a post in the "Random Thread" about how Aaron constantly harasses some of us and it got deleted (which I was half expecting anyway) just a few minutes later, I didn't even receive a message from the staff or anything. The site just pisses me off. I think EyewitnessTV had the right idea all along to stop posting on there altogether. I don't have any intentions of going back on there now.

I recently noticed on there a proposal for a change of logo. Funny that, lipstick on pig comes to mind. A few former members of MS from eons ago that I still have contact with have said similar things to what some of us have been saying as well. The forum has gone downhill dramatically over the last few years. It used to be a go-to site for all things TV/media but not these days.

I actually think the new logo looks worse than the previous one, if i'm being honest. I don't like the style of the font and it's in black & white; looks very bland.

I don’t really mind the font choice as such, but a shade of colours on it wouldn’t go astray. Orange/black/burgundy which was a previous skin theme would’ve looked really nice. Whatevs.

I couldn't help but notice the other day that the site has now removed their emoji "liking" feature. To me, it says a lot about the members on that site that most of them are too irresponsible to be trusted to use the feature appropriately. Nearly every forum/website you go on has a feature of some kind where you can use an emoticon to 'like' a post (similar to the LOL feature on here). For the staff members to make the decision to remove it altogether, that really doesn't paint the Media Spy community in a good light at all.
There's also a lot of snarkiness and general rudeness on the site that seems to manifest without any action taken. I've especially read a lot of comments directed at @sydneycitytv recently which have mocked him for comments he has made in the past about the ratings during Nine News Sydney's weather segment.
I would really like to see Popedia become a true alternative for people wanting to discuss the media and i'm going to start posting more in the "Television & Radio" sub-forum to help try and make that happen, but its hard to get the word out about the forum when Media Spy is so established.

I have also noticed this in the past couple of weeks. I may not agree with everything SCTV says (although I do agree with a fair bit), but the continuous shots are kind of getting annoying. My interest in the site is just waning further. The only time I post heavily now is when something has been relaunched.

If I recall correctly they introduced a new wink emoji react because of some inside joke and then they decide to get rid of all of them? Makes zero sense

I think there were about six different emoji reacts to choose from when the staff members first introduced the feature, then they reduced it down to three because people were spamming the "eyes rolling" emoji on posts. There were only two emoji reacts left last week.
