lol, '00s babies picking the early '10s, '90s babies picking the mid '00s.
For me, definitely mid '00s. Not only because I love a lot of the emo and alt-metal from that time, but also, the TV shows were better (tail end of Friends and That '70s Show, 4th season of Family Guy, and some great cartoons and kidcoms I'm nostalgic for), it was a far more interesting time in the sports world, and gaming I would argue was at its peak around that time.
The only criteria of the Early '10s I would put over the Mid '00s is movies.

I did like the early 2010s but as a '98 baby, I would definitely go with the mid 2000s.

The early 2010s. Better games, decent music, and the whole vibe felt so good. Even though I wasn't really around for the mid-2000s. Also not a fan of emo

Early 2010s & it's not even close! The early 2010s brought us so many jams & were a revolutionary time in history. You're so right that the early 2010s were optimistic & upbeat. Lady Gaga truly changed music & even social norms with her famous hit "Born This Way," which is timeless & promoted tolerance & acceptance in society. The early 2010s were pure amazing in so many ways that the mid 2000s lacked. Yeah, I agree. I feel like the early 2010's were just more colorful and more "party-like" especially with songs like "Party Rock" and "Gangnam Style" being popular.

It would be interesting to see a poll comparing the Mid 2000s and the Late 2000s seeing as how they were basically one long era.
