To be fair its best season came out in the late 2000s. The rest of the show doesn't compare to season 2 I'm sorry to say ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The early 2010s. Better games, decent music, and the whole vibe felt so good. Even though I wasn't really around for the mid-2000s. Also not a fan of emo then how can you judge what was better lol Hey, video tapes. DVDs. Old VHS tapes of my family. Vague memories. They exist.

I remember the first season (2008) was average. I liked the show most before he went in that high tech basement lab, but m it was solid all the way through.

The mid-2000s were kinda meh tbh. There were some movies I enjoyed like "Night at the Museum", "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie", "Hotel Rwanda", and "Over the Hedge". But a lot of movies just seem to be bargain-bin quality, like "Open Season" or "Shark Tale". I hated most crunk and snap rap songs that came out of that period like "Walk it Out", "Grillz", and ughhhh, "Chain Hang Low". But the music scene overall with pop-R&B and pop punk/emo was alright.
The only things I loved from this era were TV shows and video games.
Games I adore: Half-Life 2, World of Warcraft, GTA San Andreas, Halo 2, Bully, Kingdom Hearts II, ESPN NFL 2K5, Wii Sports, and World of Warcraft.
TV shows I enjoy:
Drake & Josh, Foster's Home, Drawn Together, Ned's Declassified, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Danny Phantom, The Office, It's Always Sunny, and Dexter (before the final season).
Early 2010s wins it for me for having more great stuff. Cartoon Network Renaissance, watchable Nickelodeon live-action shows, being in a positive atmosphere, playing Nintendo Wii, PS3, 360, etc. There were also phenomenal movies like Inception and How To Train Your Dragon that came out from the era.

I’d rather live in the early 2010s and enjoy whatever was good ( which wasn’t that much) from the mid 2000s

I love both eras. There are pros and cons to each era. I was a kid in the Mid 00s and a tween in the early 10s.
Disclaimer: some parts are US-Centric but I try to keep it globally as possible.
Technology: The Mid 00s
Sports: The Mid 00s but the Early 10s was good too.
Geopolitical/Economically: Both eras has its cons. The Mid 00s had the Iraq War(along with the war in the Middle East), The Aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Post 9-11 Paranoia, London Bombings, The Downfall of George Bush's Jrs. The Early 10s had the Tea Party Movement, The Aftermath of the Great Recession, Arab Spring, Occupy Wall Street, and the rise of the modern civil rights movement. Neither era was perfect, but both eras can kicked 2020 out the door. So it's a tie.
Movies: It's also a tie for me. The Mid 00s was a great time for movies. but the Early 10s is a underrated time for cinema.
TV: While I prefer the Mid 00s, I believe the TV quality was really good in the Early 10s. The Early 10s wins.
Music: I enjoyed both eras. While I think the Mid 00s was a decent time for mainstream music, the quality did decline a little bit. The Early 10s was a great time for Mainstream music, the quality was a top notch. So the Early 10s wins this round for me.
Video Games: The Mid 00s wins this round hands down. Some of the best video games ever was released during this time. Along with the gaming console of the Mid 00s was untouchable.
Fashion/Aesthetic: I preferred the Mid 00s only by a inch. Give me Emo over Hipster anyday of the week.
Society/Atmosphere: While I enjoyed the Mid 00s, it was somewhat a shallow minded time. The Early 10s on the other hand was more a accepting society. So I pick the Early 10s.
I enjoyed both eras for different reasons. So overall its a tie.

Early 2010s because I'm not a fan of the music from the mid 2000s Mid 2000s were atrocious for music! Yeah, I like a lot of the pop culture from the 00s but, the music was terrible (easily worse than the 10s). The 00s is when I got into a lot of older music too (1960s - 1980s) because, I felt so alienated from the mainstream stuff. At the time, it wasn't as easy to access non-mainstream music like it was in the 2010s either.

I used to be hardcore "for" the mid-00's, but I have to admit I'm coming around to the early 2010s. Granted I start the "early 2010s" from 2009.

Mid 00s. Anything past 2010 is completely soulless pop culturally.
