'Trap will die before November'
How come? It seems pretty big right now, albeit it has a different sound.

I don't think Trap will die either. It'll just continue to evolve into something different.

It seems pretty big right now, albeit it has a different sound. it's already past it's peak and new fusions are coming in, you are going to start seeing sick of trap think pieces soon. It's hard to explain this without the rest of 2021 coming to fruition, but it's one of those trust me and you'll see things.

Polo G, Rod Wave, Shordie Shordie, Roddy Ricch, etc. all have an almost R&B melodic sound. Trap gets a bad reputation simply because unlike decades ago, a genre doesn't get a new name when it is reborn or evolved, so it has the same name as the trap songs from say 2017 do, with a completely different and better sound, but it's grouped with those older songs because it's also called "trap."

Trap in general will be gone in 2022, screen shot my post so it can be posted again in 2022 lol My mid 2020s thread will go into detail what is next for music in general. The board might not be ready to hear what is next lol It's not what you are going to expect.

Well, it is here! We have pretty much entered the 2021-2022 season or school year. I guess it is safe to say that we entered the cultural early 2020s or are 95% close to entering them. Late 2021 begins in 2 days or less. I still hope 2021-2022 is better than 2020-2021 and has a chance to be since we barely entered the new school year. I already despise this decade and it's "culture" 🙃

I already despise this decade and it's "culture" 🙃 Yeah COVID, state of the world, economy and politics sucks. The 2020s still have time to turn themselves around for the better. At least we are not in 2026 where all hope of having a great decade is lost. I will still be optimistic about the 2020s and cross my fingers for the best. To be fair the early 2020s are not all that. I think despite COVID, they are slightly better than 2017 and most of 2018. I would rather live in 2021 over 2017 and most of 2018. Maybe that has to do with my personal life. Mid and late 2020s will hopefully be better than the early 2020s. The 2020s could be like the 1990s where those decades start off roughly and end off on a high note, getting better with time. What I find interesting is that 2020 through 2029 shares the same exact sequence of calendars from 1992 through 2001. Hopefully we have some kind of economic boom during the mid-late 20s, like in the 90s

Hopefully we have some kind of economic boom during the mid-late 20s, like in the 90s I hope so too. I guess that will only happen if Trump loses the election in 2024. I agree. The only way there is even a chance at a more positive end to this decade is if Trump loses the 2024 election or for some reason doesn't run. Even then, it's a huge wildcard. The misery of the 1930s culminated in WWII and didn't end until 1945. If Trump ends up back in power in 2025 (which I think is 70% likely at this point), I think there's no avoiding civil war in the USA.

Trap will definitely not die by the end of 2021. That 2017-2018 style trap is pretty much dead by now. Trap seems unstoppable as it has been evolving into a different sound since arguably late 2018 or 2019. As for the 2021-2022 school year, it feels early 2020s. I can already see many of these things being popular or commonplace. Great post!thanks =)
