backlash is already starting , well it has been for a bit I'm not sure that the people you've screenshotted are talking about the same "trap music" I'm talking about. Polo G, Rod Wave, Shordie Shordie, Roddy Ricch, etc. all have an almost R&B melodic sound. Trap gets a bad reputation simply because unlike decades ago, a genre doesn't get a new name when it is reborn or evolved, so it has the same name as the trap songs from say 2017 do, with a completely different and better sound, but it's grouped with those older songs because it's also called "trap."  in context to this now
