I also hope for the same. I wish democrats keep their seats and win more seats in the November 2022 election. Yeah another Trump presidency is a nightmare. His presidency in the late 2010s felt like 8 years. Our world is scary and dystopian for sure. Almost as if we are living in 1984 or 2012 depicted in the movies. The movie 'V for Vendetta' is very much like what seems to be happening in the USA. I'd recommend watching it if you haven't seen it. When Trump got elected I mentioned that movie and predicted that is where things were headed and it's insane how right I was. I mentioned it more as hyperbole back then. I think the way hook up apps and one night stand culture have become so normalized, straight or gay, should be scarier than potential homophobic right wingers and probably more detrimental for LBGT imo.

2016 didn’t feel like a real year. Just a blander repeat of 2014-2015 with previews of trump in the second half.

I hate app culture and think it's a big problem, but right wingers are threatening to overthrow the country and unless something changes, they will be successful. App culture though has ruined dating. I miss the happy medium of browser-based dating sites.
