2014 does not belong with 2010-2013 either The 2010’s doesn’t really have “two halves”. It’s more so divided into three separate eras. I’d say the grouping is 2010-2012, 2013-2015, and 2017-2019. I’d put pre-late 2016 in with 2013-2015 and late 2016 with 2017-2019. Agree with this except maybe late 2016 being more late 2010s, besides Trump winning there wasn't really a cultural change i noticed until about March 2017

How i divide it: 2010-2013 2014-2015 2016-2019 (kinda) My version of it ( pop culture and energy wise) Late 2008 - Summer 2009 ( shadow period) then 2010 - Fall 2013 Fall 2013 - November 2016 November 2016 - December 2019 January 2020 - February 2020 ( Echo boom effect)

And electro-pop was dying in 2013.

Electropop didn't start to die out until veeeery late 2013, around the time Artpop by lady gaga came out (really bad timing for her) Otherwise, it was a good year for electropop. You had Taylor swift doing dubstep, what does the fox say, scream and shout, the rise of zedd, skrillex being a big name in music, i love it by icona pop, will.i.am was popular
