2020 was prolly the biggest shift of the century so far and I dunno why some posts pretend it isn't... I mean u got ppl saying 2022 is the exact same as 2019 and it feels like yesterday lol. Bruh.
More happened in 2020 and early 2021 than just COVID too. If u were living life in 2019 and went into a coma and woke up in 2022 don't pretend u wouldn't be shocked lol.

It depends where you live. In some countries like the UK, lockdowns haven't been a thing since Q1 2021 so it feels like there was a reverse shift last year in regards to COVID.

Ig but COVID caused a shockwave and affected a lot of things even when there isn't a lockdown, there were more things that happened in 2020 and 2021 too.

There's this virus just there that affected everyone. Not everything is pop music... I'd be more shocked if I were in 2019 and woke up in 2022 than if I were in 2016 and woke up in 2019 lol.

In the UK it's become super lax on COVID since the start of 2021. Masks apply since we have started mask mandates again since november but vaccine mandates are far from being implemented here. People just generally go about their lives as normal here, no social distancing or anything.

People who are introverts and who live their lives mostly online haven't seen much of a change in their personal day-to-day since the pandemic. Everyone else however have had their worlds turn upside down. Anybody who says 2022 is the same as 2019 is probably an introvert who primarily lives online and hasn't been effected much by the pandemic. And I wouldn't be shocked that Trump attempted to stage a coup. I was predicting that back when everyone else was laughing at me for bringing it up because there was "just no way that could happen in the USA." The most shocking thing today is that the entire Republican Party is behind him.

omg @ all the ppl talking about lockdowns; please, way more than that changed in 2020 because of covid. People still wear masks on the streets, we have to carry vax certifications everywhere, people Don't sneeze in public anymore (and the few ones that do get fearful looks)... When was the last time you've seen someone talking about having the common flu in public??? Pandemics aren't just the subjects of pretentious science fiction movies anymore. 2022 is worlds apart from 2019... This is factual

The only thing we do still related to COVID is masks on public transport, but that is about to change since the PM just announced mask mandates are going away a few days ago.
