A lot of of people on these forums have some weird obsession with Olivia Rodrigo and think she kicked off early 2020s music. I'm starting to notice early '20s music (which started in late 2019) is only now starting to wane off and be replaced with pop punk. Pop punk will probably be a major sound in the mid 2020s. It started to really gain some significant popularity as of just recently. I think it's a sign the mid '20s are coming very soon and we're starting to see hints of the culture.
If pop punk is big in the mid '20s, that means we won't see real 2020s identity until the late 2020s. Since punk and rock are nothing unique. Neither is retro pop, which is the dominating sound of the early 2020s.
