I think Twenty One Pilots is the new Linkin Park in regards to their playing around with music genres coupled with their angsty lyrics. Some of their songs have been characterized as rap rock too. I strangely agree with this, no wonder why I love Twenty One Pilots then though lol. They're one of my top if not top bands of the 2010s and Lincoln Park is probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite band of all time. Heavydirtysoul by Twenty One Pilots definitely gives off rap/rock if not rock, rap/EDM type rock vibes. Lincoln Park was way heavier on the guitar rock though, but I can't think of any other 2010s band to compare them to. I know these fools IRL

Side note, but to add on even further, the James Blunt of the 90s, without question, would be Michael Bolton. Which also means that Michael Bolton is pretty much the Ed Sheeran of the 90s. Every decade has an ed sheeran-esque male popstar Phil Collins was the Ed sheeran of the 80s And the 70s had Barry Manilow
