2021 was hot garbage and everyone hated it while it was going on Cope It's literally the truth though, there was a research some time ago and people were hating on 2021 and 2020, 2019 was doing better

We were barely recovering from a pandemic and someone tried bombing the capitol, how is that not inherently 🤡 Well it depends if you see the glass as being half full or half empty. 2021 was when we phased out of covid fuckery and back to normal life. The capitol thingy happened on the 6th day of the year. Most of the year was smooth sailing.

Well, I can't say 2022 yet since it hasn't been 12 months into the year yet, so I guess 2021. But that's like me comparing a small, inoffensive trash can (2021) to a dumpster engulfed in flames (2020).
No Way Home, The Suicide Squad, and Luca were some of my favorite movies from that year.
I enjoyed then-new music like Kanye West's Donda, Olivia Rodrigo's Sour, Billie Eilish's Happier Than Ever, Little Simz's Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, and Tyler, the Creator's CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST.
Squid Game, WandaVision, and Arcane were also some of my favorite TV shows from this year.
Yeah, we still had COVID sickening the world with the Delta and Omicron variants, and there was the Capitol siege, the Afghanistan withdrawal, the Texas freeze and more climate crises (especially with Hurricane Ida's historic Northeast flooding). But overall, the year was a hell of a lot more tolerable than 2020 ever was imo, both personally and culturally.

Yeah the 2020s has been proven to be a terrible decade honestly, but 2020 was just so bad, even a year that otherwise still sucks like 2021 looks amazing by comparison. IDK man like this decade has still proven to be a disappointment considering things seemed to be picking up in 2019 considering the train wreck the 2010s in general was.
