...and make note, my current phone (iPhone 7 Plus) costed me $1263.00 outright without a plan, so even if that phone becomes obsolete in a few years I'm not just going to give up on it because it's "old". $1263! I would never buy a phone that expensive! That's nothing compared to a 256GB iPhone X which costs up-to $1829.00!

Sorry, I stole that joke...my bad!

As of today, I've upgraded to a iPhone X. How much did it cost, if you don't mind me asking?

Anyway, it's interesting to hear that you have upgraded to a new phone, because I think I can remember you saying on the first page of this thread that you were planning on keeping your iPhone 7 Plus for as long as possible?

Yeah, I was originally planning on keeping my iPhone 7 Plus for a few more months but I've decided to upgrade it to the X because as soon as I saw them in stock on 'Green Gadgets' (eBay store) I had to buy it quickly because they we're selling fast.

You could’ve held off until Samsung’s new ”foldable” Galaxy F series which is to be released early next year. It would only cost a cool $2,000+ price tag.😛

My first phone was a Sony Erricson phone (2006-2011), then my Blackberry phone (2011-12), then my T-Mobile phone (2012-13), then my Nokie Lumia phone (2013-15), Then my Sony Experia (2015-16), Then Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016-17), and finally my Samsung Galaxy S8 (2017-Present).
I've had 7 phones in my entire lifetime, so far!

When I used Android phones I had to upgrade every year - year and a half or so because they had so many problems. Now I have my first iPhone (6s) and I got it the day it was released so that was back in September 2015, I can realistically expect to have it a few more years now before having to upgrade again.

Yeah! It still works really well which is great, especially after 11 years. They don't make phones like they used to. Nowadays they will almost certainly malfunction in some way by Year 3. My phone got mmc_read fail error, and there's no way to fix this 100% software issue. 😠 Said phone fell apart on April 20 2018 (I remember it was weed smoking day under a ton of snow). I bought it in January 2015, so it lasted 3 years and 3 months before I upgraded.
