Not very often. Tbh, I almost get a little bit annoyed by those people that upgrade their iPhone every single year....

They don't make phones like they used to. Nowadays they will almost certainly malfunction in some way by Year 3. My phone got mmc_read fail error, and there's no way to fix this 100% software issue. 😠 Said phone fell apart on April 20 2018 (I remember it was weed smoking day under a ton of snow). I bought it in January 2015, so it lasted 3 years and 3 months before I upgraded. Things were definitely built to last decades ago. I think I mentioned elsewhere here before, but my Mum has this Sony radio/cassette player which was bought way back in the early 80s which still going strong to this day with regular use. Most things these days only have a 3-5 year lifespan (if you are lucky!).

Forgot to update earlier, but I finally ditched the brick and got an iPhone8 for my birthday a couple of months ago. WOW. How is it?

It's brilliant, far better than my previous iPhone. That's great to hear. Heard the camera was brilliant, and the photo that you took last night was great! How old are we talking?! HAHA, umm, let's just say it was from the same period as the iPhone's introduction.

It made calls and could text, I didn't need much. Towards the end of it though, I was getting pretty bored waiting for public transport, or people, and having nothing to do.
