I hope fashion gets more brighter and baggier than now as an antithesis against the dark and skinny fashion of the 2010s. The mid 2020s will most likely be a backlash against the 2010s. By the mid 2020s, at the earliest 2023 or the latest late 2024, we will be in a complete 2020s world and the late 2010s will be removed from the present, being seen as dated. I will admit the early 2020s are forming their identity separate from the late 2010s. However like any early part of the decade, we have past decade holdovers which most likely will not disperse until 2023 or 2024. The late 2010s seem like yesterday. The mid 2020s seem like a transitional era technology wise similar to the mid 2000s. Maybe 5G internet will be more mainstream by then as it is just starting to roll out now in 2021. We might enter a new era of the internet. 9th generation gaming will be in full swing with PS5 selling like hotcakes. The late 2020s will make the early 2020s look like the 2010s. The 2020s will be a transitional decade like the 2000s. The 2020s seem more exciting than the 2010s. I am looking forward to the 2020s.
We will have to see how the 2022 mid terms turn out. If democrats keep their positions in the office or win more seats, then Biden may get re-elected again in 2024. If republicans win all seats, then Biden may lose the 2024 election. I hope Trump does not run again for president. The last thing I want is for 2024 to repeat 2016. The next solar eclipse is happening in 2024. I will confidently say that 2024 is will be first full core 2020s cultural year without late 2010s influences.
I hope by the late 2020s we get a Timbaland revival with 2020s twist.

it sounds like late 2000s electropop but with more gloss not as rough, I have heard a few things from my producer friends, it sounds super modern If electropop comes back, I hope the genre has a Timbaland, rock, scene, goth or pop punk, maybe swing influence. Potato Luvah, judging from what I have been seeing as of late, it seems like Rock is mainstream again during this new decade. I have been seeing a lot of TV shows and movies about Rock as of recent (To give some examples, I saw a movie about Rock music on Cinemax last night and I saw a documentary about Rock on TV network Fuse last night.). The last time I saw a lot of TV shows and movies about Rock on TV before this decade was during the 2000s (The decade when Rock was mainstream before it ended up no longer being mainstream in the 2010s.). Plus, I have been hearing Rock music in a lot of commercials as of late. Like you, I, too, am glad that Pop-Punk is popular again during this new decade.

I have a feeling the 2010s will become almost non canon, like it is real but we never mention it lol Kind of what Sega did with Sonic 2006, they never mention it as if it never was made.

I’ve also noticed rock music in commercials, TV show and movie introductions. I’ve seen more people skating like it’s the early 2000s all over again. Someone noticed on this board that people are saying “extreme,” “tight,” “rad” and “radical” or using surfer and skater words again. If culture goes at this rate or faster, then we might be due for an OC or Laguna Beach revival. I hope rock grows more throughout the 2020s and stays relevant. I want the 2020s to backlash against the 2010s “no rock music” attitude. We had indie and alternative pop in the 2010s if those are close to rock music, but I doubt it. Alternative pop and indie didn’t do as well as other genres in the 2010s. I think rap now is incorporating more rock influences. I hope R&B, electronic, jazz, Lo-Fi, Vapor-Wave and other genres do the same. That would be cool! Guitars are becoming popular again in songs. *High fives*

Yeah I can see it. The 2010s will just be known as the “early 21st century” and will be considered ancient and more similar to the 20th century in the future. Also the 2010s do kinda feel non canon or obsolete now as it was pre-Covid. Anything pre-2020 feels non canon to me now

Apple has reportedly considered launching its own primary and subscription-based healthcare service, according to the Wall Street Journal. The tech giant envisioned having its own primary care medical service with Apple-employed doctors at its own clinics. Apple was considering the service in 2016 but plans for the idea were stalled as the company shifted the focus of its health unit to selling the Apple Watch. The tech giant was trying to figure out the data collected by the watches could be used to improve users’ healthcare. Apple then decided to create a service that would link “data generated by Apple devices with virtual and in-person care provided by Apple doctors.” The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple took over a clinic near its headquarters to test the possible service with its own employees. Apple CEO Tim Cook has said the company’s greatest contribution will be to health. Although plans for Apple’s healthcare service have been stalled over the years, the tech giant is reportedly still working on it. Hell, there's still a local radio station that advertises itself as "hits from the 80s, 90s and today"... Like what? I guess "today" means a period of 20 years to them. I really hate that lol

I really hate that lol I hate that too lol. I’ve met people who say stupid things like “Nothing has changed since the 1980s (or *insert any decade here*)!” It’s a way to make them feel old and not a part of my generation. I guess 20 years means contemporary to them even though 20 years is considered retro. That’s a pathetic way for them to undermine the changes of the past 2 to 4 decades. IMO, 2000-2002 is retro and disconnected from the world of today. 2003-2005 are getting there, but not there yet. the other crappy forum someone said that the 2000s had no culture or defining fashion or music and nothing changed from the 90s to early/mid 2000s so out of touch that place 2002 feels like ANOTHER planet in general

I wish I got to experience 2002 as a 20 something. Life seemed more fun and alive. I feel like I missed out as I was 3 going on 4 years old. Kid culture was fun and so was general culture. now they are stealing our terminology " the fake early 2000s" "the fake 2020 vision era" etc lmao I can't
