Bright colors will no doubt be back by the mid 2020's. The downbeat drab colors are continuing to dominate for fall/winter 21/22 and it's getting very tiresome. The tiedye trend remains ongoing and is the only real source of non neutrals right now apart from color blocking, which I think has some stamina. I'm not sure we'll go right back into early 10's neon as much as I foresee an interesting blending of more and less saturation. The all loungewear all the time has to end, it just has to, its exhausting.

I think upbeat pop culture (music specifically) will continue on for a bit. The mid '20s will see something different but music will still be upbeat. People have gone tired from the slow depressing music of the late 2010s. I think in the late '20s music will go into a more darker and slower direction again.

It will be interesting to see what kind of pop music we get when the U.S. is under martial law (which I think will be likely in the mid '20s).

Crazy to think weโre a little over a year away from this period. The aesthetic looks a little different from what we got going on now, but not radically different or that far off. I predict that spring through fall 2023 will still be early 2020s culturally and winter 2023 going on 2024 through summer 2024 will be evenly split between the early 2020s and mid 2020s. Fall 2024 will likely be when we enter the cultural mid 2020s. Most likely we may get another fake mid period going from spring 2023 through summer 2024. I kind of want that to happen lol.
Hopefully 9th generation gaming will be more distinct from 8th generation gaming and COVID cases are way down or better yet gone. This period has the potential to be more uniquely 2020s and better than 2020 through now.

The end of Covid will mark the end of the early 2020s, for sure As long as it happens in 2023 or 2024, otherwise...
