2010s. Even cars built in the mid/late part of the decade are boring shades of black, silver and white.

Anyone who’s saying the 2010’s were a colorless decade clearly didn’t pay enough attention to pop culture in the 2010’s. The 2010’s were all about pastel colors, especially in the mid and late 2010’s. The early 2010’s were a bit more bright and colorful but the mid and late 2010’s were all about pastel colors.

I mean, just compare Windows XP or Vista to Windows 10 and you'll see that they are just more vibrant and colourful, too.

I agree, but technology really did take a bland colourless turn in the mid/late 2010s compared to the 2000s. Besides like the iPhone 5C, you didn't actually see any with those pastel colours.

Also, it's interesting how the color palette of the 10s is similar to that of the 50s

The 2010’s were all about pastel colors, especially in the mid and late 2010’s. The early 2010’s were a bit more bright and colorful but the mid and late 2010’s were all about pastel colors. Not true at all, in the mid 2010s desert hues took off with Yeezy Season, in 2015 and 2016 all you really saw was beige and brown and grey. Kylie Jenner was a huge influence to people in the mid 2010s and most of her outfits were seen copied by people. Not only that but Simon starting re branding their malls with brown and beige/white color schemes. Now the early 2010s yes were colorful I will agree. If you look to runway shows from Saint Laurent,Fendi, Marc Jacobs from the mid 2010s (which is the part of the decade I am mostly talking about) their looks were washed out and dull colors. Fast chains like Zara and Forever just copy the looks and make cheaper inferior stripped down versions to buy. Minimilism was huge in the mid 2010s, from everything from graphic menus to interior designs, for example a hipster bar (this color scheme would be dominant with this era of the decade) Then you have something like the interior of Kim & Kanye's old house souless of any color ( this was a HUGE theme of the mid 2010s) Another article about minimalism in the mid 2010sarchive.curbed.com/2019/12/19/21024424/interior-design-trends-2010-2019When 2017 came around this finally moved away from minimalism and moved towards maximalism , Pink finally crept in more as well. SO yes the early 2010s were SUPER colorful and the late 2010s were getting there as well, but the mid 2010s (which is usually the first thing people think of when they think 2010s) was filled with minmilistic color color palettes in fashion, interior design and even TV graphic design.

You have it confirmed by me lol The 2010s are the most colorless decade of recent memory.

I like the shiny aesthetic of the mid/late 2000s. Windows Vista, certain music videos, the slider phones of the time. Think "2007".

The 2010s (specifically Late 2012/13-19) was colorless. Maybe more colorless than the Mid 1990s. 2010, 2011 and some of 2012 was very colorful.

I'm surprised no one else voted for the '90s. I can't think of any colour that represented that decade. Perhaps brown due to the lack of colours?
2000s had lots of colours due to Y2K, I see Y2K as 2000s rather than '90s.

Perhaps brown due to the lack of colours? 2000s had lots of colours due to Y2K, I see Y2K as 2000s rather than '90s. Very dark colors, deep/"dirty" shades of red/yellow/blue/brown But there were a lot of vibrant colors in the 90s. Even if you think the 90s were "colorless" they can't compete with the 00s and 10s...
