This is a great idea for a thread! I hope it's okay, but I think it might be a good idea to move this to the "Extra!" sub-board in the Media Lounge. The Popedia Lounge receives a lot of activity and if it's moved to the "Extra!" board, there is more of a chance of it being noticed (since other threads receive regular posts in the Popedia Lounge, this thread might be pushed down the page otherwise).

Yep.  I've noticed that a lot of prerecorded VHS listings on Ebay and Gumtree are from Melbourne. I wish there were a few more closer to home!

Also, if you haven't done this before, ask the seller/person who is doing a garage sale near you if they have them. I have found quite a few goodies from them.

There's quite a few listed for sale on Ebay and Gumtree. Some of the listings offer postage, which means that you wouldn't have to pick them up from the seller. I haven't purchased prerecorded VHS tapes before, but AussieTV and @zampakid would know a bit more about it.

Cool!! Like SharksFan99 said, Ebay and Gumtree are great, regularly check as there are new ads that pop up all the time. Garage sales are great, some op shops too. Try and get the best deal possible (narrowing down the price) when talking to the seller.

@sydneycitytv My advice is go to Op shops that are run by councils not charity organisations (salvos/vinnies) or a local dump/tip where they would sometimes have store that sells goods.

They're becoming harder to find at local dumps/tips as well. I went to the Huskisson and Callala Bay tips a few months ago, but they didn't have any prerecorded VHS tapes at all.
