Its aesthetics might be getting into tacky territory, but come on now, I would take that era over this one any day of the week, as much as I hate 2014 and 2016 vehemently. What was the aesthetic of that era?

I really didn't like a lot of internet culture of the mid-2010s either. Yeah I truly believe it was a dark age for internet culture. It's not brilliant nowadays but dear god if it's not an improvement over back then. It started to decline in 2013 and it really bit the dust around 2016. Memes from that time were truly a low point. Internet animation between 2013 to 2015 was definitely at a low point. The Harry Partridge/Eddsworld/Egoraptor era had ended, but the Odd1sOut/Jaiden Animations era hadn't begun yet. This video IMO is a perfect summary of this era of online animation and culture

Around 2011 to 2014 is when I noticed the SJW influence in pop culture creeping in like Karens and Kevins that would not be popular until 2015. I mean 2015 is the year everyone got offended lmao.
2010 might be the last true year when anyone could speak their mind without offending anyone.

Here's the most hipster song of all time: The sad thing is I am friends with this band in real life, The song still sucks and even told them this lol I decided to listen to this song and...I can see why you hate it. It's right up there with Imagine Dragons in terms of feeling incredibly sterile and inauthentic. That blandass wholesome vibe. Those obnoxious generic vocals. I'm not a fan of mid 2010s music either honestly, and this is easily one of the worst songs from that era!

Here's the most hipster song of all time: One of the most overrated songs of the 2010s. But I'd still take this over shitty ass Happier by Bastille and Marshmallow. Both are massively overrated.

Why? It was much better than the early and late '10s.

More like IOS 7 released in 2013, that was more significant and revolutionary for many people. Windows 8 was not that successful in it's initial release; it only took until Windows 10 for people to truly embrace flat design OS's

Windows 8 is not mid 2010s. You guys are thinking of Windows 10 which came out in 2015. Windows 8 came out in 2012, which is early 2010s.
iOS 7 is BARELY mid 2010s. You can argue it's early 2010s as well since it came out in 2013.

Early 2010s would be iOS 4 to 6 which have a skeuomorphic UI. 2012 might be the early 2010s, but Windows 8 was a sign of mid 2010s culture in 2012, much the same way Instagram and PewDiePie becoming popular was. Conversely, Windows 10 was a sign of late 2010s culture in 2015, since it came out after the era had peaked calendar-wise which was January 1st, 2015. Windows 7 was the OS of the early 2010s, plain and simple.
