Ever. Like ever. Yes the late 2010s sucked as well but the Mid 2010s have a special place in my heart for being the absolute worst. I was there Live for the 80s, (baby lol ) the 90s, the 2000s and the 2010s. This is literally the worst of all time. Most of the jokes by "gen z" are referring to this part of the decade. The backlash it's getting is rightfully deserved. BY FAR the most inauthentic era I have ever experienced in my entire life. The peak of hipster, so many people looked like this, it made me sick, like sick. You look like a f*cking idiot. These stupid inspirational quotes on facebook every 5 seconds
The Hipster coffee shop with terrible music that smells like sh*t MAKE IT STOPEvery commercial having this font and many other similar fontsThis being in everyones house
Don't even get me started with the fake foot stomp music being OVERPLAYED everywhere........... not even posting it because it sounds like sh*tOh and there was Terrorist attacks happening constantly during this time as well.
Muted color everywhere in the mid 2010s...................YUCK
The only cool thing about this era was Pokemon GO in Summer 2016, Summer 2016 in general was "alright" but only because the mid 2010s was on the way out at this point. And yes I know the era that came next after this sucked badly as well.

Thank you for these pictures lol, they made me chuckle. I think hipster fashion (and Hipster culture, in general) is going to age really, really badly, we're gonna make fun of hipster hairstyles and beards like we make fun of mullets from the 80s. The hipster fashion already looks horribly dated, the aesthetic is also ridiculous. You're right, that font... The "live laugh love" font was inescapable back then, in fact, I'd go as far as to say that that font defined the 2010s. I can't really hate the time tho... I was 13-15 y.o back then, they were great times for me, and i love the 2010s, but i agree the mid 10s were extremely tacky. It was the time of minions, miley cyrus, meghan trainor, tumblr's fake feminism, the rise of alt right edgy idiots, cheesy edm songs, hipster fashion, pseudo-indie music, chopped up vocals. Gosh, the mid 10s aged so fast...

If we talking about years I would place on the bottom, EASILY 2013 2014 2015 and a portion of 2016, crap crap crap. I know you may have enjoyed the era so you have a different experience. But let me tell you walking around Jersey and NYC " Hipster central" in those years.. JUST UGHHH

I searched google trends for "hipster coffee" and "hipster coffee shop" and it seems that it peaked in 2016, with a small comeback in 2018, and then it fell HARD.
You know what's concerning about this stuff? I can definitely see people, 10 years from now, reviving hipster fashion and even hipster coffee shops... LOL

I actually liked some aspects of the mid-2010s though Especially the indie game boom of 2014 like FNAF. I found it really cool that a single dude on Game Maker could make a game beloved by millions around the world. I disliked how overexposed it was at the time but after Fortnite blew up I really began to miss it. Still, there are some things like Gamergate that DEFINITELY do not need to come back. The Xbox One and Wii U were disasters. Windows 8 was ass. Minions were everywhere. Overall, definitely not as big a fan of it as I am the early 2010s or late 2000s.

I feel like hipster culture even impacted kid culture to some extent. We Bare Bears comes to mind. Food trucks, San Francisco, the whole minimalistic aesthetic, MacBooks, tote bags. Everything about the show just screams hipster to me for some reason.

The hipster era definitely started during the summer of 2010. Suddenly everything went from scene to hipster in the blink of an eye. It was really solidified during the 2010-2011 school year, when Pumped Up Kicks became a hit and Portlandia came out.
