Which decadeology takes do you find extremely wacky?
Mine is the notion that the 2000s and 2010s are one decade. Outside this forum there's lots of boomers who keep grouping the 00s with the 10s.

2019 is exactly like today because... pop music, and using pop music to judge everything about a time.
Talking about specific "transition" years when every year has transitions, some years like 2001, 2008, 2016 and 2020 had actual shifts so not including them.

that Toonami was not a cultural force in the early 2000s and didn't get NFL prime time like ratings
That teen pop was still going on in 2003 in the top 10 charts in America

That the 2010s culturally started in late 2008.
That late 2012 was more mid 2010s than early 2010s.
1980s were consistent and 1980 leaned culturally 80s.
That 2014 was more early 2010s than mid.

It was also a pre smartphone norm world which is another reason I can't wrap my head around lumping it in with any era of the 2010s.
