This is from city-data, and was posted in 2014, but still I can't think of a worse decadeology take than THIS I saw that shit too and I couldn't think of anything worse. DAMN were they off.

I'd say 2010s prelude is 2008-2010 2007-2010 for me 2007 saw the start of MANY things that would define the 2010s such as the iPhone, Netflix streaming, LCDs surpassing CRTs, Barack Obama launching his campaign, the recession, etc.

This is just as bad too, very similar to the take I previously posted, although this is on inthe00s.

The only part of this I agree on is 2005 being the quintessential year of the 2000s. But you can't just say that and then say that late 2006 is not part of the 2000s zeitgeist because of some dumb shift. The entirety of 2006 felt very 2000s. Late 2006 being the start of the 2010s prelude I could maybe see, but I still think it starts in 2007. The zeitgeist certainly did not begin in 2009 as I've previously stated. 2009 was a hybrid of 2000s and 2010s culture, not being a part of the zeitgeist of either decade. As mentioned earlier, 2011 or 2012 is what I'd regard as the 2010s zeitgeist start. Either one is fine with me. 2013 is also ABSOLUTELY not the quintessential year of the 2010s. The alt-right/SJW nonsense had yet to be blown out of proportion, 7th gen consoles were still the norm, and skeuomorphic aesthetics were still somewhat common to see. I think 2015 or 2016 is the quintessential year of the decade. Both are acceptable answers.

Here’s a fun fact about me and city-data.. I got banned from that website For supposed “trolling”, even though I only made a few posts at once, some hot takes, and they thought it was grounds for being banned indefinitely. There’s lots of dumb people on that site, and it shows in their takes on decades. Were you at any point banned from this site? I just wondered, because I noticed from about October last year to just a few weeks ago you completely vanished from Popedia.

City Data is wack, it's full of ex former inthe00s toxic posters, but does have a few nice people on it

Have no problems with the admins whatsoever. I think this site is less strict than City-data.

Most crackhead opinion is that 2009 is 100% 2000s

I saw this on a comment on 2010s music, but what do you think of this take? Good or bad?

Personally, not the worst take ever. I think 2018 should be grouped with 2016-2017 rather than 2019. I agree with his 2019 description though. 2010-2011 is electropop era. 2012 is still electropop but with more core 2010s music.
