Haha, honestly, why? That’s not worth anything. Who could be bothered with that (apart from The Sifon over on MS)?  Yeah, I don't think i'll be throwing away $19.00 for tapes (or three figures for all of them) that's only 25 - 30 seconds long... if they were free then perhaps. I’d only be interested if they contained full ad-breaks throughout not just Simpsons promos. Someone will be desperate (or incredibly stupid  ) to buy these. Maybe someone should contact Sifon.

About The Simpsons promo tape thingy, he states he has a lot of copies of them, which means someone could go off and buy them, then upload the entire contents onto YT.

103 broadcast tapes of 'The Simpsons' promos from Channel Ten I wonder how he got hold of those tapes... At least $1 for each tape would be more appropriate if it has just one promo on it (if I'm understanding correctly). And I'm surprised Channel 10 would waste tapes by only putting one promo on each tape.

A bit far out for me too, even though I live in the Sydney metropolitan area.
I probably wouldn't pick up all 433 or so at once. Maybe a dozen or two...

Hmm sounds tempting, I'd probably only buy 4 dozens of the lot.  But I wouldn't drive 2 hours just to pick up VHS tapes.

That's the only thing that is putting me off. I honestly wouldn't care too much about going up to North Balgowlah to get them, because I would just make a day out of it and visit some places in the area.

Just curious, is it a nice area around there or is it a little bit feral? It's a very affluent part of Sydney and it's also right on the coast as well, so there are some nice spots in the area.

Canberra is quite easy to get to from the Illawarra, so that might be something worth looking into. I think I will keep it in mind.

I don't think I would buy used VHS tapes these days. Unless I'm really desperate (maybe in the future lol) and pay very little then I would. I just try and ask people I know.

They're pretty much only of value to people who enjoy salvaging content off of them, like some of us here. Otherwise, what use is the average person going to get out of a bunch of home video recordings? I think anything above $1 for a video tape is a bit steep, to be honest, and i'm definitely in no rush to be purchasing VHS tapes as it is. It is something that I have seriously considered on multiple occasions, but I really don't have the storage space to be keeping hundreds of tapes. I already have about 25-30 of them stored in a cubicle.
